The healer from another pack comes to his den and brings her apprentice--Gwen. Gwen has issues about leaving her home. She was attacked by a serial killer. She was cut up pretty bad and was raped. She was a virgin werewolf. She has scars across her back and she has nightmares of the serial killer returning and cutting her and raping her again. She is asked to stay and take care of the injured Alpha. She stays and they start to have feelings for each other. The wolf that tried to kill him tries a second time by poison. It fails. He then decides to kill Nosh and take his woman as his for a slave to do his bidding. He finds Nosh alone and almost succeeds in killing him. The pack and Gwen stopped him. He's captured and put in a cell. He escapes and kidnaps Gwen. He plans to wait until Nosh finds them. Then he will kill Nosh and rape Gwen and have her as his slave. Nosh finds them and fights him. Nosh is losing the battle because he is not fully recovered from his injuries. Gwen attacks the wolf and kills him. She and Nosh mate. They have a baby girl. Gwen thought she would never have someone love her and be able to have children because of the attack to her. I Absolutely love Liv Brywoods writing, the way she captures the characters by hating the bad ones and falling in love with the good. That's exceptional writing in my opinion. Gwen is a member of the silver moon pack . She's in training to be a healer to take over for Alika. Gwen is very damaged, she had been traumatized by a human, and wont even venture outside anymore because of it even though the one that hurt her can't anymore, but when her healing skills are needed to help out the alpha of the other pact she must go and help him immediately. Once there she sees how bad Nosh is injured, and tries helping him even though she is so out of her depth. She has a choice of leaving, but she is somewhat drawn to his safety. Nosh is alpha but he hasn't met his mate yet. He likes Gwen , but doesn't feel that spark that they say he would feel if it was his mate. The reason for his injuries are not known he can't remember anything, but Gwen has an wary feeling about one of the pact members or is it just because she's so afraid of everything after her ordeal ? Can Nosh be in danger in his own pact? Can Gwen get over her fear , and be normal again, or is it happening all over again? Read this werewolf romance to find out I'm so glad I did I absolutely love the storyline! Definitely recommended to shifter lovers, alpha males, with some heated scenes indeed! This has truly been a great story. I remember in book one and two learning a little about Gwen. This she-wolf has been through so much. She had been tortured and raped by a cruel mad man. She faces fear every day of her life. Little by little we have seen her come out of her shell. Well in this book she meets her fear head own. We will discover how brave of a woman she really is.
Gwen is this beautiful curvy woman. Now let me tell you one of the things I love about Gwen. She has looked in the devil face and still found strength to live each and every day. So much has been taken away from her. Sure she has scares. Not only inward but outward as well. This does not make her less beautiful. These scares are truly her battle scares.
My heart truly broke for Gwen not only did see jump at every sound and shadow but she felt unworthy of taking a mate. It was like a piece of her had died when her innocents was taken from her. I loved Akila in this story. It was like she had some sort of foresight. She worked everyday to help Gwen and when the Alpha of the Dark Moon Pack had gotten hurt she thought this was what Gwen truly needed.
Nosh was this amazing guy. I think when Stryde in book 2 had chosen him to replace him as Alpha that he chosen well. There is so much that makes a good Alpha and Nosh has all those qualities. Something terrible happens to Nosh. Someone wants him dead and will stop at nothing. Nosh’s life will hang in the balance.
I loved that even through Nosh’s fevered minded he saw Gwen for the amazing woman she truly was. I loved reading how gentle he was with her. It was like when she would go within herself he knew just what to do to pull her back to reality.
I love how Nosh wanted to help her not be a victim anymore. He will be her shining light in the darkness. Nosh does not see weakness when he looks at Gwen. He sees the strength that lies beneath. He wants nothing more then to help bring out the strength that he sees in her. Gwen will need this more then she knows.
It is almost funny. This series is a little different then most books you will read. In other shifter books you usually read about how outspoken shifters are and you always know were you stand. In this series you will see how hard it is for a shifter to face not only the fear of their own feelings but letting the other person know how they feel, which makes more sense to me. Now hear me out. Shifters are use to hiding who they are and they often have to put on this brave front to other shifters around them because they do not want to look weak. So for a shifter to be scared to express his or her feelings make sense.
This is truly a great series. I so hope we have not seen the last of this series. There are still so many good characters in this book that needs their story told but that is my personal thoughts.

This was a fantastic story. Liv Brywood is new to me but wow does this story pack a powerful storyline. It had me sitting at the end if my seat and bitting my lip! I couldn't stop reading.

Gwen lived thought a horrible attack and is now training to be a healer. In helping nosh heal from injuries she is now in danger.
The interaction between nosh and Gwen is so sweet! I loved it. What a great story on a subject most romance authors don't cover but it turned out beautiful.
I can't wait to read more from this author.
